Everything just works with Windows 7. I reverted back to windows 7 from windows 8.1 because 8.1 has an unfixable problem that some games will drop the gamepad after a few minutes. The only way to get the gamepad working again is to restart the game. However, the performance gains from windows 8.1 drew be back. So now I simply don't use my controller in the games that give problems. In my opinion windows 8.1 is a faster, smoother experience. = better

That's sounds like a problem with the controller moreso than windows 8.

That's sounds like a problem with the controller moreso than windows 8.

It's a microsoft xbox 360 controller. The problem occurs in Arma 3. Google it, there's no fix. However it works flawlessly in windows 7 with arma 3. Considering I only play Arma and Battlefield, it doesn't work with 50% of the games that I play. Trust me there's nothing wrong with the controller or drivers. I spent weeks trying to fix it.

Lol, I used the controller to fly helicopters in Arma3 as its way easier (arma 3 has xbox 360 profiles/support). I wouldn't inflict a controller on my greatest enemy for first person shooter gaming XD
Since I've gotten windows 8.1 I've learned to fly using keyboard/mouse and its actually quite easy. I still use the controller for dragon age, skyrim etc.

Forget windows 7... It is getting obsolete and sooner or later games will not be compatible...
