I have an Asus vivobook S15 X510uf and planning to add an m.2 ssd since having a mechanical hdd is slow with 5400rpm. Here are my options

Adata M.2 SU6550 Sata 240gb
  • Price is 1650 php (32.50 usd)
  • Not sure if available
  • Have no idea of the max read and write speed

TRANSCEND TS120GMTS820S 120GB M.2 2280
  • Price is 1344 php (26.49 usd)
  • Max read speed 550 MB/s
  • Max write speed 500 MB/s

KINGSTON SA400M8 120GB M.2 2280
  • Price is 1650 php (32.50 usd)
  • Max read speed 500 MB/s
  • Max write speed 320 MB/s

I plan to add an ssd for faster boot up and install my wondows there

Solution
I wouldn't go below 240GB simply because very small SSDs have fewer channels which translates into much lower read/write speeds and also a whole lot less space for write-leveling to work with so the drive can last longer.

AFAIK, the Samsung EVO series have been consistently good and decently priced for many years. I got a 500GB one on sale for $90 CAN to re-install Windows on two months ago.

Why a faster drive for boot? Is the 2 seconds really worth that much to you?
OP said he currently has a 5400RPM HDD in there, an SSD is going to be 30+ seconds faster boot. Back when I was booting off my WD black with all of my normal stuff installed, booting took ~2min from end of BIOS / OS loading screen to desktop, ~30s with SSD before I re-installed Windows, ~15s now.

First of all, if you are going to get an m.2 ssd, get an nvme. For this reason, we can cross out the sata asus. Then, there is the kingston and the transcend. The Transcend has faster read/write times, and is cheaper than the Kingstone. Pretty obvious from here.
