Which Z170 Motherboard? (ASUS vs. GIGABYTE vs. MSI)

I saw 3 good motherboards and want to know which is the best and why?

- ASUS Z170 MAXIMUS VII RANGER
- GIGABYTE Z170X GAMING 5
- MSI Z170A GAMING M5

Other Components:

CPU: i5 6600k
CPU Cooler: EKL Alpenföhn Brocken ECO
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x 8GB DDR4-2400
GPU: R9 390
SSD: Crucial BX100 250GB
HDD: Toshiba DT01ACA100 1000GB
PSU: EVGA SuperNova GS 650W
Case: AeroCool Aero-1000

Pick your favorite vendor, or the lowest price.
All will do the job equally well.
Today, I have no reason to pick one over the other.

In time, as more motherboards are sold, go to newegg and compare reviews.

Look at what percent of the reviews have zero or one eggs indicating some sort of a problem.
In particular, look at the reasons for a bad review. Some are not very valid, so exclude those.

Your build looks very good.

Thanks for your answer, but which of these brands are good? I'm thinking about MSI and GIGABYTE... Are both good for soft OC?

my choice of those MSI Z170A GAMING M5

supports 2 m2 at full speed

looks like m2 drives are the way forward so for me more than 1 m2 port and at the full speed is important

They are all good.
All will OC decently.
Remember, how high you can oc a 6700K is largely determined by your luck in getting a good chip.
I am guessing 4.6 with a good chip, 4.8 with an exceptional one.
If I had to rank my preference, it would be ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI in that order.
But... that is really an unfounded preference.
One thing you can do is to look at the support forums for each motherboard to see which might be able to offer help in case of a problem.
