Hello everybody!
I am planning a new build with a i7 4790k, but it has a looooooot of MOBOs. I plan do a light OC, since this CPU can handle everything at stock. I don't care about features like WiFi, Bluetooth, M.2, high USB and SATA speeds, etc... I will not run multi-GPU either. I just want something simple and with good quality (specially on VRMs), but as I said, nothing extreme.
So, which would be your best recommendations? :)

Solution
I would get the Z97-G45, had I found it I would have recommended it. more phases is always worthwhile, regardless of what intel is using, a better motherboard will always compound to make things better.

Well, this one seems good. But... hasn't this mobo in my country. See, i'm not looking for something cheap, but I don't want pay for features that I don't care too much about. No problem if some good mobo has some of those features, but everything I found when I search for "good", comes with a lot of features, and consequently, expensive.

Yeah, that is awful 🙁
Well, i'm from brazil, I usually search on national websites because the importation fees are mind blowing (believe or not, 60% of the price the product. It's some kind of "protection of an internal market").
If it helps, I search more at "www.mercadolivre.com.br" and "www.kabum.com.br". But I think that would be easier for you just say some other brands/models, and I look for it. We need to have something ROFL :pt1cable:

Oooh, thanks for your attention!! Well, this one seems almost perfect (and it's cheap because is made here), but I'm worried about two things: only 2 chassis fans connectors and 4 digital (2 true) phase design. The Z97-G45 apparently has 8 digital (4 true) phase design (and more fans connectors 😀) and is almost the same price.
It will be my first time using Intel since 2007, but, from my AMD experience, those 4 true phases would allow a minimum OCing. But, I know that Intels are completely different, has lower TDP, better IPC and the "digital multiplication" makes the phases even better.
Or, in your experience, there would be no difference between Z97-G45 and Z97M-PLUS?

So, this is it. Ty bro!
Stay in peace
