I'm thinking about waiting until Amazon Prime Day to start buying parts.

Would you say it is worth the price difference to go with the strix E? Is the on board sound and wifi good enough for a $30 price increase? I was originally going between these two mobos.

Also just came across an EVGA 1080 FTW Hybrid for $560. Would you call that a good deal? Also would you say it has more overclocking potential than other 1080s? Thanks.

Yeah I'm tempted haha! I'll wait a few weeks before making a GPU decision - see what else drops in price. Planning on picking up any components that have steep sales on Prime Day on the 16th and 17th.

I know you need a White build and this is far from it. But this is huge improvement in performance. If at any point you decide to give performance priority over looks get this build.

Thank you I'll look into it! Besides the 1080ti, could you highlight the performance improvements and just how much better they are so I can properly make an informed decision?

With GTX1080Ti which is around 35% better in performance compared to GTX1080 the combination of G-Sync monitor at 1440p will give you better gaming experience.

If you can wait a bit long on GPU I recommend going for GTX1180 instead of GTX1080Ti as it will be a decent 20%(according to present leaks and rumors) more powerful in performance which is great.

Too late :p just pulled the trigger on a lightly used EVGA FTW2 ICX 1080 for $410 from Ebay - hope it'll be good!

Is G-Sync really that good that it's worth all the extra money?

I could either get a TN 144Hz 24'' 1080p monitor for $350ish with G-Sync or same panel except no G-Sync and 27'' for $270ish. At least from what seems to be available rn
