Question White dot on my laptop screen ?

Does anyone one know what this white luminous dot on my laptop ? It goes away when I press on it, then comes back after sometime:

Hey there,

It looks like a dead pixel. Is the laptop new? If so, you may able to return it for one without a dead pixel. Some companies cover it under warranty, others do not.
