I got a used TUF 1660 super GPU . It works fine and I can play games and all that but their is a white light right above the pcie connector on the gpu. Also my gpu has been overheating in games like apex. Are the 2 connected, what does the white light mean?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

their is a white light right above the pcie connector on the gpu.
Please mention the make and model of your PSU as well as it's age.

Also my gpu has been overheating in games like apex.
Might want to pass on the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the number of fans in your case and how they're oriented. Ambient room air temps will also help the community, two fold. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time?

As for your current GPU being a GTX1660 Super, what was your prior GPU?

It's probs so you can see there is power going in the card?

I cant remember but I'm sure I have a card that has 2 little surface mount LED's that are both on in windows O/S and only 1 is on when PC is turned off which might mean the card is in standby or something either way it's handy to remind you to make sure you disconnect the PSU before unplugging the power connector at the very least :)

overheating could be weather related if it's got hotter where your live? try taking the side of the case off to see if that helps?
