if you weed out the false scores (people that are lying) then it seems the WEI scores are somewhat accurate
though vague in comparisons referencing benchmarks from tech sites.
intel c2d a little better than athlon 64x2 comparing the same rated GHZ; ATI and nVidia battling it out.
intel overall then amd but i'm a true amd fan so i'll stick with my amd.
the sata hdd and this 5.9 barrior is interesting.
the WEI does need to be tweaked, hopefully it will be for Win8.

actually when start looking into GPU scores, they vary quite wildly as in 5850's scoring worse than a 4850 or 9600GT (since it doesn't come out of idle)

cpu is a bit closer, a 600MHz OC for me nets about a +.2 score, mem from DDR2-800 to DDR2-950 nets about a +.1 score

i think the HDD score needs to be better defined, like sequential and random read/write as it never really tells you for sure

After RMA my RAM for the same price it's 7.9 now but the thing that won't change is CPU/SSD...

CPU: i7 930 @4GHz =========================== 7.7
Memory: G Skill 6GB =========================== 7.9
Graphics: GTX 480 =========================== 7.9
Gaming graphics: ============================ 7.9
HDD: SSD 64GB ============================ 7.0

So 980x can get 7.9 and plus better SSD. There need to be a free giveaway of 980x lol...

for gpu's, you think that the correct drivers has a lot to do with it.
coming out of idle, I didn't even think of that.
and the RAM of course is better in dual mode or better than single mode.

well it could also be that the program doesn't put enough load on it

ofc dual channel and better will score higher than single channel, i was just saying how minor things can improve the score

btw my desktop
CPU: 7.4 (Phenom II X4 810 @ 3.1GHz)
RAM: 7.5 (Crucial DDR2-800 CL6 @ DDR2-950 CL6)
GPU: 7.5/7.5 (2 x 4870 1GB)
HDD: 7.2 (OCZ LE 50GB)

I wasn't implying anything bro..
just acknowledging the facts even if scores slightly improve.
is cl5 RAM easier besides slightly faster to overclock.?

it's cool, no worries, though different drivers do make one hell of a difference

there really isn't that much of a difference, i have set the ram at CL5 and the only way i could see a difference is with a benchmark, and keep in mind i got 8GB (4 x 2GB) for $70 in April 2009 so it was worth every penny considering one of the kits goes for that much now (f not more)
