Do you have a GPU to pair with either option? If not, only the 8400 has the ability for a display-out.....

When paired with a GPU, the 8400 is marginally 'better' as a gaming chip, but it's negligible.

Totally agree, at that res and up to 1080, the 8400 will give best FPS, regardless of dedicated GPU. So for getting close to 144hz (which would still only be in a handful of games) it totally depends on the GPU being used. Factor in gaming and streaming, then i'd lean towards the Ryzen with more CPU grunt.
