I bought a new monitor and played a few games and now my whole pc is breaking. Some things aren't showing up I can't click things, if an app is open from startup I can use it but it freezes every 5 seconds or so and my task manager shows everything as 0% on CPU GPU and network but surely a monitor can't cause this so it might be some computer hardware. After a factory reset the problems persist. This is a year of pc with a i3 8350k clocked to 4.7ghz. 16gb of hyperx fury ddr4 ram. An msi gtx 1080 gaming x. So the hardware is new. Might this be a processor problem as I had problems with heat for a few months until I bought a water cooler. I don't know what it is can someone suggest a solution or what might be causing this problem
Oh yeah nearly forgot this is on windows 10.

PS I don't know what category this should be in so I put it in systems

UPDATE: I'm pretty sure my processor is dead because now i can open applications but the text boxes and pictures wont load. if i open league of legends for example the tab opens and there is just a green colour with no pictures, no drop down boxes or the button saying play there is just an outline of where it should be. the installer worked incase you're wondering about how i got it to test but the client doesnt work and task manager is completely useless now it is just coloured boxes with no text or pictures

Solution
You can remove battery from motherboard, or use a screwdriver to jump 2 pins. Your motherboard manual will tell you specifics. Any software changes before problems started?

i dont know if this will make a difference but a shop overclocked the processor about 2 months ago and this was after i got the water cooler. the heat problems were before the overclock. the computer has ran fine with the overclock for the past 2 months but if i was to reset the BIOS how do i do that as ive not really used any BIOS settings before incase of me messing it up.
