Let us stop the fanboyism and acknowledge AMD's market strategy - the AVERAGE consumer not troubled by synthetic benchmark scores or maxing our Crysis. I see too much hate going on from both camps - let us make love not war. But in reality anyone who 'hates' AMD needs a friggin reality check. Intel will not be on top forever - anyone remember the Athlon series? People were sure AMD would lead the way forever after that.

I know I'm a nightmare to moderate lol.

My bans are mostly unfair. I never complain about getting my posts deleted, in fact I usually agree.

I've been banned 4 times in the past what, 5 weeks now?

3 of them have been from Mousemonkey, and the other was from Random over that silly gay remark I made. Since then he found out that I was being set up (which I already knew lol).

I don't blame Random for banning me, that was a mistake on my part. The other bans? Pure hatred from MM and nothing else.

lmao you keep the blood on the banammer fresh jen 😀

Sure PM me the details and I'll have a look at it.

not to mention dragging up my name after I'd said I wouldn't be back.

Then why are you here?

Nah MM had no involvement with the elmo crowd.

MM's involvement is he is reading all of my posts, even ones that have been deleted, and handing out bans when I've overstepped the mark.

I know I overstep the mark a lot, I'm a fiery character. Thing is, the other mods delete those posts, and they do the same for everybody else.

MM doesn't, he just bans me. He's done it 3x now, last time he banned me for 2 weeks over a post that Random had already deleted. It all started over a heated ati vs nvidia debate, then he started to follow my posts on the cpu forum too. Before then MM was never seen outside of the gpu forum and thats a fact.

From that gpu forum argument he has been hell-bent on banning me for any reason.

its an argument not a debate. debates don't have name calling, if it did Congress would be a WWE stage rather than a boring room on C-Span

seriously Jenny the first time i saw your posts and saw the replies against it i felt really bad for you ( back in March) but by reading your posts i learned the real value of AMD and that is why i favor AMD right now, but i am not a fanboy you will see numerous posts in the past 2 months where i recommend Intel over AMD. You used to be a pioneer to me like a hero, in the sense that you stood your ground in the most adversity but now your just a whining person who made two accounts just to come back and whine some more on who she supposedly got banned "unfairly"

Upendra no offence but I couldn't give a monkeys toss what your opinion is of me or anything else.

That is how little I value anything you say. I thought about ignoring this one like I did the last, but common courtesy demands that I let you know what my thoughts are about you as a poster.

On the plus side, at least you aren't so stupid that you hate AMD because of my attitude.

The gay comments went both ways (no pun intended), as each made them, and I started deleting posts, and called for calm. This isnt an appropriate area to discus any of this, tho I was accused of bias, I also deleted jennyh's post as well, once my warning hit, and since both were guilty, I tried t let cooler heads prevail.
My actions, or any other mods arent up for discussion here, take it to PM, or site feedback with a post there, if you feel more than 1 person should hear your complaint.

I just want to say that I am ashamed of saying what I said, even though it was totally tongue-in-cheek.

After being labelled a lesbian - twice - , and with no bans being handed out (because nobody bothered to report the posts), I sure as hell wasn't expecting a 5-day ban for suggesting Elmo likes 'pix of nude men'.

I'm sure the more reasonable amongst you can at least understand my frustration, right or wrong.

i am not like others to hate a company due to some fanatic lunatic that goes around whining, i was just trying to tell you that you can be more accepted but fine if you don't want to listen to me as you think that i am somehow lower than you or something then be that way maybe if you treated people like equals you would be a bit amiable. However, it's too late for you you already made your reputation and it's too late to change. I used to be like you in real life lashing out at people when i got angry but in the end i got in trouble and the other truly wrong guy got a free walk with benefits, i learned to calm down and now people like to be around me

You need to see it from the underdog PoV.

There aren't many people like me, and we are all pretty memorable for a reason. We need to be this way we are so that people listen to what we are saying. Minorities need to make themselves heard.

What you think is "whinging", I would run a million miles to prove is an injustice.

Then learn to use the 'Report' button and make the system work for you rather than against you.

anyway Im going to try to get back to computers. So do you think AMD will show us more than just Vision at CES? Don't take me wrong (i mean finally, AMD marketing :ouch: ) but Im more interested in new tech. Thoughts?

i was an underdog, i was shunned at every time i tried to make a point and make myself known and respected. I was ignored and cut off, and then when people started getting more abusive i retaliated and then i got in trouble while they walked off with better wishes from the teacher cuz they suck up to them.

For an example in the Forums look at the many times Badtrip annoyed the hell out of me for my naive posts

The way you said you valued my posts so little showed me that you are blocking out everyone who doesn't agree with you and only want people who will feed you and spoil you even more. and then you idolize yourself as a minority

it would be nice to see some preliminary on the new 6 core.

More hazing than anything. lol Youngsters need harassment from the old timers to prove their worth. :kaola: :kaola:

But seriously the quality of your post have improved greatly, and I welcome your input.

What I want to know about Thuban is how they fit the 6 cores onto the chip, and if they added more l3 cache. But I am waaaaay more interested in Bulldozer.

Who knows, maybe they will at least give us a more detailed layout of the chip, or one can hope :) . Although apparently they plan to have Bulldozer out before 2011, although im guessing that means December. I read this recently, I'll try to find the source too.

I think that was misread actually.

If Bulldozer is out in 2010 I'd love it but I dont think so. Llano? I'm actually more excited about that than I am with Bulldozer. I don't think Llano will make it out 2010 either but I do think there is more chance of that at least.

Both could happen, but it's a bit like Nvidia with Fermi. Sure AMD got Instanbul out 6 months early, but Istanbul was basically the last of a very long chip series. Both Bulldozer and Llano are very new architectures (even with Llano being based on K10, the fusion of gpu is a huge step).

It could happen for both in 2010, same as Fermi could have happened for Nvidia in November. Smart people would not be betting their mortgages on either being ahead of schedule.

If you can think back to January 2009, I'd bet you'd think the chances of seeing a quad core at $99 were pretty slim. Most people would have laughed at the suggestion.
