Why am I not seeing the secutity tab?

I'm using windows xp pro with service pack 1 installed on a NTFS partition, logged on with an administrator account, yet I don't see the security tab when I select "sharing and security" after right clicking a folder. What am I missing or doing wrong?

In Folder Options, under the View tab, make sure <i>"Use simple file sharing (Recommended)"</i> is <b>unchecked</b>.
