Download some temperature monitoring programs, like HWMonitor, AMD Overdrive, and CoreTemp.

It's going to take a bit of observation, and dialogue, to figure out your actual Core Temperatures, but we can get there.

AMD Overdrive and CoreTemp usually pull up the actual CPU Core temperatures; this is as opposed to the CPU Socket temperatures. The former is good for reading temperatures at load, but since they operate on kind of a weighted equation to get accurate results, they are inaccurate when the CPU is idle. The Latter is vice-versa.

APUs have this nasty little habit of being difficult for reading proper thermals. With different programs, I have had no less than four different readings from, apparently, four different sensors with my motherboard. The fourth reading is absurdly high and I honestly don't know why, but I was able to figure out which were my CPU Core readings, which are perfectly normal. I wouldn't be surprised if your case is quite similar.
