So Apple is having a string of not so good ideas? So? So Apple is making mistakes in their new generation of Nanos! So what? I'd say it happens almost to every company or another. Good ideas don't just suddenly come out of the blue, and even if they do, they may sound good but in reality never garnish the same attention as the companies bigger, more succesful products have.

All Apple needs to do is come out with one really good product again sometime and it'll shut you all up. Seriously. Just be glad the company is afloat to offer something of value to the majority of the world. Apple's iphone was great and their OS X operating system is the easiest operating system to use, especially for the non-tech savy. In all my time working for Applecare I would never hear of any virus issues from any customer. Whether you attribute that success to Apple or to the Unix community, doesn't matter. The pretty box with it's simplicity is enough to make it a strong point.

Stop with the hate people. Just because you can't afford Mac products doesn't mean you need to bash people that can. Three simple words: Don't hate, appreciate.

You know, everything that was said in the article was exactly how I felt about it and even mentioned in one of my previous posts. I feel like Apple is not getting it. Re-releasing the same product, I honestly don't see the need to constantly upgrade my mp3 player, I don't know about you guys, but I use my phone for music, it works JUST fine. I have another mp3 that I hardly ever use, maybe when I run, but other than that, waht is there to be excited about? A touchscreen? And with Ping, I have to join a community within a community, so I can login while I'm logged in(to iTunes).

Nothing to see here, just more Apple brainwashing.

@adiposity : Only time will tell if you're right or not on this one. However, it's not only about the available content, it's about competing with other companies. Most are able to provide the service even though the content is not widespread. If they would have released ATX in 2002 without 1080p, no one would have cared. But we're in 2010 now.

"I want an Apple TV"
"Why? Xbox 360, PS3, most Blu-Ray players, and even a lot of TVs give you everything the Apple TV has, and in full 1080p"
"I don't care. It has the wifis and bigger GBs."

There are 3 types of lies. Lies, damned lies and statistics ~ Mark Twain. What's the confidence interval and level on that study where it says 21 percent? Also, I’m willing to guarantee that there is tons of sampling error in that study and that they rephrase the question to fit the needs of the survey. Example would be asking an Android user if they would use an iPhone if it were given to them, and then counting them as wanting an iPhone.

Of course Android has more market share because they have more market penetration. Also, old news that Apple fanboys are more loyal. Welcome to 20 year old news. Apple users don’t care about logic and reason. The fact they pay more for an inferior product doesn’t matter… all that matters is that it has an apple with a bite out of it on the product.

And again, I’ll go back to my very original post to explain why “Android Phone users are more willing to switch.” It’s called effective marketing. Most consumers hear something on a commercial or from a friend, and take it for truth. It’s amazing how many people I meet with a new iPhone that doesn’t know why their calls get dropped or that they can get a free case to fix the problem. A simple explanation for people willing to switch goes abck to your statement on loyalty; Apple fanboys do not care if their product is inferior, they won’t switch because it’s Apple. The average consumer on the other hand, will go with whatever they perceive is a better product, which usually stems from effective marketing.

I am in australia and Apple TV makes no sense when most people have GB caps at about 25GB a month. I pay $80AUS a month to get 60GB a month and i can waste that on HD streaming! APPLE TV WASTE OF MONEY. Anyone here who is tech savvy just gets an xbox and downloads tv shows from something something bay and streams them through the xbox for free! Apple is starting to loose the plot like it does every 10 years or so. They should try and bring down the prices of there laptops and desktops instead of the fluff such as apple tv and ipod nano's

I dont know about prices, but those recreations of apple to me are very good, they made what was portable even more portable, the shuffle became smaller better battery life, cleaner and beatifull. But the ergonomics maybe not too good, a square that you need to look(because a rectangle is easier to find the position) to know what button you will push, i dont know if there some other way to perceive it until now but square is not the better opition i think.

The Nano i think was a great ideia use touch to reduce the number of mechanical buttons and reduce the size of it, for videos use the ipod touch, so buy all of them to have the full quality of each. Apple wants to sell more, its not wrong, i think, because videos on ipod nano was too little for my taste, and now on touch i think it makes sense.
Ipod nano looks cool and will sell well.

Ipod Touch, for those who were not right to buy the iphone, this was the time to apple look more reliable at the almost same product, this will sell well, because i never had any apple product and this looks so tasty that i want it. But i think that apple wants to regain the reliability of the iphone 4 on this product, so people will buy it i the others will want it looking what it can do and how beatifull it is.
