Why are Asus's r9 280x's so high?

Hi all,

What does directcu II offers that MSI's r9 280x's that sells 60$ less doesn't offers? Do they have better clock speed? Do you guys think that their price will go down? Because I'd like to get one since they only receive positive reviews.

They are great cards, grabbed one when they were released, the CU has a number of features, they use the best binned GPUs and have the CU cooling. I loved the one I had, but once the bit coin miners started grabbing them and the price shot skyhigh, I sold mine for $120 ove what I paid and ppicked up my current 780s (which I love even more 😉 )

Ok thanks for your help man. Do you think it would be worth to wait to see if i'ts price will fall down or should I just get this card?

Lots of reports on that card of fans failing, loud, etc...Prices have been dropping and may drop some more

I have an Asus Card myself and to give my thought on it, it's not worth buying.

Artefacts and game bugs, and something about overclocked Vram's not being cooled, i wouldn't buy it.
