Why can I not run most games in 60 FPS atleast?

I cannot maintain constant 60 on most games feeling so stuttery and not fluent, My specs

gtx 1070 armor thing

i7 6700K

DDR4 16gb

z170a motherboard

750w psu. win7 pro. Why... Can i not run games at 60 atleast?!

is you display plugged into the gpu or the motherboard? what are your temps and utilization of both gpu and cpu during gaming?

Depends on the game, game setting , and the resolution ...

same <removed by mod> Specs , i only got 970 and Asus Mobo

it's Weird, truly.

there could be the following

1) something is eating up the system performance.

2) the monitor might be limited to 60hz

3) if the monitor can Reach 144hz, then u might be using HDMI, Switch to Display port if that was the case.

4)if u are running your game at borderless windowed, then u will suffer the Framerate with high end games

5)keep every software updated (windows, Nvivida Ge-force)

6) attempt to run games with Nvidia optimal setting, and keep lowering it till u could break the 60FPS limit

Not always true. We've had plenty of cases on a variety of CPUs/Motherboards where the culprit was the fact that the GPU wasn't even being used since cables were plugged into the onboard and the BIOS was set to automatically determine which ports to enable.

still confused about on board Graphic
they come from the motherboard? or the CPU?
cause i usually see the CPU comes with some form of Processor Graphic which i guess is what u mean.

in term of Cable plugged to Mobo, heard that they are Disabled if the GPU is connected(happened to be twice)
but i did some read around and yea, it seem he needs to go to BIOS and set the Graphic to PCI slot.

HOWEVER, wouldn't be Better if he was to Check using run>dxdiag? it should give him what Display is begin used.
