My motherboard (ROG Strix x370-f Gaming) has one USB-c port, although when I try to charge my MacBook from it, only for 1 or 2 seconds does the charging symbol show up. Is there a fix for this or is it just not compatible?
The output voltage and current are not high enough from motherboard port to charge a laptop , it is only meant for data exchange and charging a phone.
The charging brick that came with your mac is much more powerful than a mere port.
