Why can't I find SATA Power Cords without Molex adapters?

Longer than 6 inches. More than 2 splits.

My power supply came with a SATA power cord that is about 18 inches long and has 4 plugs along the length.

I'm trying to find the same thing but a little longer. The furthest plug away being about 24 inches.

EVERYTHING I'm finding on Amazon and Newegg are Y splitters - 2 connections, and much shorter. What gives?

Your power supply should have a molex connector, those have more power in them than the SATA ones, so you can split two SATA off one Molex. Plus the number of connections they hang off a cable could very well be because that is how much power they want that cable to draw.
Are you looking to replace the actual cord that is on your power supply? There are cables like that for modular cables, but you need to find an OEM source for the actual cables that are on the power supply if it's attached permanently.

You may want to add ome details about your power supply brand and model and exactly what you are trying to do. Why not just get extention power cables? http://www.amazon.com/Micro-SATA-Cables-Extension-length/dp/B002P6W9UG

Just hook those up to the existing ones to extend them.

Well, my problem is that one drive is resting on the bottom of the case about 20 inches away, and I need to plug into 4 or so devices along the way. There's just not a good long multi cord out there.

The one that Antec gave me is ALMOST good enough but it's too short.

Seems like Ill end up with a few branching cords which will look stupid but hopefully won't compromise the output.

I thought the Molex were inferior/old tech, that is good information to know...

I thought about using one of the PCIE power outs but there aren't really enough options i've found.
