why cant i go to my gateway ip 25.0.0.1

Solution
That address belongs to the Ministry of Defence, so presumably you are in the military. Contact your IT support rather than playing with these things by yourself. I'd guess that your employers are pretty sensitive about the security of their networks.

Your loopback address is 127.0.0.1 which is just typically used to verify connectivity between your operating system and network interface card. You can find your default gateway's IP address by running CMD from your, Windows-based, machine's run box and then typing ipconfig.

Not sure why you want to use that one. There is nothing on the internet with that IP or pretty much anything else in the whole block. It is used by the military in the UK. They do not advertise those routes into the internet or if they do they have it hidden.

You could likely safely use these in a private network but there are so many ip available that are designed for a private network why would you bother.
