I got a second router to extend my wifi range and was able to connect it to my main router and was able to use wifi from both of them as i wanted.

My main router has ip 192.168.1.1 and I wanted to set my second router to 192.168.1.2 and it said ip changed successfully but then I couldnt access the config page. Only time it worked was if I used 192.168.1.5.

Was wondering why that happens and what ip should i set them.

Solution
It may be that the first router had already assigned 192.168.1.2 to another device. You need to set the DHCP range on the main router to start at 192.168.1.100. Then you can have 150 DHCP assigned devices and 100 static IP devices.
