[SOLVED] Why can't you build your own Mac PC?

Solution
Hackintosh (running macOS on a not apple system) is possible, but Apple only add support to macOS for the hardware in their macs. This stops many systems from being compatible. Only apple systems or systems that are nearly identical in hardware are compatible. And even then there are hoops to jump through.

Downloading a copy and creating a bootable copy of macOS is 100% legal. However, the license agreement states that the bootable copy MUST be used on an Apple-branded computer. Installing it onto something else is breaking the license agreement and is illegal and Toms forum will not support Hackintosh for this reason.

Because it would be illegal to install any version of MACOS on anything but a original Apple machine. So that's a big NO, you can't legally build your own.

But there are a bunch of Enthusiast building their own Hackintosh. It is a long Illegal and tedious process.
You have to make sure the hardware is supported by apple. ( Meaning) must be a similar versions of the hardware being used and supported by Apple on any of their machines, you must own a apple machine to create a bootable Version of MACOS because apple doesn't sell them and buying or selling them is illegal.

Its mainly because of the fact that everything in an iMac, Mac Mini, Mac Pro, etc., is made specifically by Apple themselves. For PCs, though, they are built using many different components made by different companies such as Ryzen, Corsair, Asus, and many many more. This lets you choose what you want, how good it is, and your preferred price for every specific item. If Apple did eventually create all of a PCs' components by themselves and make it all run on MacOS at a reasonable price... I can tell you now that everyone would be surprised. But for now, my recommendation is this. If you like Apples' MacOS Software, the elegance of having only one display as your whole computer, or you just use it for school, work, business, and just everyday use in general, get an iMac! It'll last you at least 5 years and you won't be disappointed. BUT! If your a gamer and you play a lot of games, I'm sorry, but, Macs in general are just not necessarily "made" for gaming, which is why you get a gaming PC. The Windows 10 free software is perfect for you. The only downside is that you won't have major accessibility features and you'll have a watermark. But if you set this all aside, you can get a fast, good-looking, responsive, and powerful gaming PC for a little over $900. Sorry for the VERY late response. Hope this helped.
