So the Crosshair V Formula-z motherboard supports 2400 memory but there is no processor for the board that supports it. So what's the point or am I missing something?

Honestly, I don't feel any difference when I overclock, yeah, in benchmarks I might see better CPU or RAM performance, but to be honest I've given it up, it was fun as an exercise, but I doubt the usefulness. So from my point of view it's not worth it.

Where you really feel a difference is fast drives, raid 0 with two or more SSDs really gives you an insane boost even if you just do the windows or motherboard striping.

Cool. Guess I will just leave the Vengeance 1866 in then. Just I am building my son's older system back up for use at his mother's because carting a Storm Trooper tower back and forth is a bit of a task. Was going to put the Vengeance in the older system and upgrade the Storm Trooper.
