Why Dell LCDs?

How come everyone gets Dell LCD monitors? The specifications don't look like they are worth their price. What makes them so appealing to so many people that makes them spend $190 for a 19" monitor when they could get a better one for less?

Anything I'm missing?

There's more to a monitor than just spec. Those are simply numbers on paper. What truly counts is combination of price, performance, features, build quality and color quality.

I personally do not buy Dell monitors. They are a little low end for me.

Dell have a very nice line of IPS panels. This isn't like cheap TN panels and deserves the price premium. Their color reproduction are very nice. There is a lot more to monitors than just response time and contrast ratio.
