Why do GPUs go in upside down

Hi guys

I wanted to know why graphics cards go in upside down in a case. Like when you look at the card the fans are facing down, why dont they make then so the fans are face up, i dont care which way they go in but what is someone want to see the fans, like u have a windowed case, and if the fans are face up you can see them which would look nice. I dont like looking at the circuit board of the GPU, i'd rather have fans up.

So anyone know why they do this?

i believe its so the fans can pull in cool air from the bottom of the air instead of hot air from the top but i could be wrong
