Hey TH! I recently finished building my PC and its running great xD Only thing that kind of bugs me is i get these short random fps drops. Lets say i have a steady FPS of like 60, well within a second it will drop to about 45 or so and then go right back up. It only last about a second and it almost appears to be more like a studder. Id say if there was a time it happens its about every 5 minutes or so. Confused as to why its happening, my CPU never goes over 65c, and all the usage numbers in task manager never reach 100%. Any help? (Oh yeah and its not just in one game, it happens in several)
Heres my build if it helps!: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/7Mkwbv

You could try unparking your cores. That might help. Generally you see this cause by heat, but seeing as it never goes over 65 It might be background processes. That's my guess because it's common to see performance suffer when cpu is being eaten up by virus software for example.

how could i unpark cores?

Sorry about the delayed responce, I have been having life issues. However if you are interested in unparking your cores you can follow a tutorial as thus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fKxZ1mq9KA

To me it sounds like the game is just loading in more of the map, in which case a short stutter / fps drop is common. Your components just focus on rendering new things rather than smoothing what's already being displayed for a second or so.
