I have 2x16 DDR5 6000. I built the system and it worked fine. All 32GB accounted for. I noticed that half was showing up a few weeks later. (not sure how long it was like that) I pulled the RAM and tested each stick in the primary slot and it worked fine. Both sticks showed up after that. I chalked it up to just needing to reseat the ram.

A few more weeks go by and I notice in SignalRGB that one stick is a different color than the other lights I check and only 1 stick recognized again. I do the same thing, swapping slots one at a time and everything works. Reseating seems to work again but now I'm worried.

I ran both sticks through memtest and they passed. Bios, windows, and chipset drivers up to date.

Another odd thing happens once in a while. The PC will hang on the DRAM light on boot. I figured it was DDR5 training but I let it sit for 30 minutes and it never progressed. I had to hit reset and it worked fine after that. Other than a hiccup every 2-3 weeks with the RAM the system performs well.

What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard?

32GB DDR5 6000
Might want to pass on a link to the ram kit you're working with. Rams populating slots A2 and B2?

edit: system specs 9800X3D, 3080, 32GB DDR5 6000, Gigabyte X870 Eagle Wifi7
When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

Had this happen before it's just a ram incompatible issue from what I recon same issue happened to me using Corsair works fine in asrock and Asus but can be funny with gigabyte and MSI I recommend klevv ram for gigabyte. Try dropping the ram speed to 5200

Interesting. It's on the QvL though. Although, I guess of all the things to try that's the easiest.

I was told it could be the CPU because of the secondary problem I'm having and having ruled out the RAM with memtest. I didn't really see that being the problem but I admit I don't understand all the inner workings of a CPU and what role it has managing RAM.

Try cleaning the RAM slot pins.
Or, if that doesn't work, completely disable overclocking, such as XMP or ReadyBoost,
and see if it's now recognized reliably.
You can also try switching slots 2-4 and 1-3.
Check timings .... etc

Why does 1 Stick of RAM keep disappearing.
Check your cpu/ cpu socket for damage.
