[SOLVED] Why does CPU-Z show my current link speed & bus specs at 8.0?

My motherboard's specs:

So, what gives? I've gone into bios and the only options I have to change anything PCIe related are gen1-gen3

No option anywhere to change a link speed to an actual numerical value.

And one other reason why...

In less demanding periods GPU pcie link speed is also reduced to conserve energy. That may not be the case here, though, if your GPU is PCIe gen 4 capable but the motherboard isn't.
