Why does my computer turn off?

Every time I play a game my computer restarts automatically. I have heard about PSU affecting it but I have a 1000W PSU. I have also heard the heat may cause it to restart but all four cores are at 29 degree celsius. I have an i7 3770k. In core speed it says 4700 MHz and also 1600 MHz. I have a Geforce GTX 660 that was over clocked then I reset it and it still happened. I also lowered the resolution of the game to see if it worked but it still didn't. I don't know what is causing it anymore.

Solution
1) UNSTABLE OC. i7-3770k is 3.5 with 3.7 GHz turbo - so your 4.7 GHz indicates an OC with speed step still enabled (what is the Vcore when at 4.7).
2) Although 1000 W PSU is overkill, as MauveCloud indicated - QUALITY is more important as long as you are 100 Watts above your Loaded usage.
3) Temps/voltages and staility.

A) IF OCed then start by going back to stock.
Download Prime 95 and a program to monitor temps.
Open Monitoing program to monitor CPU core temperatures and Voltages.
.. Start Prime 95 in blend mode (default).
- - - NO memory errors (need at least a 2 to 4 Hr run - MONITOR temps (individual cores) closely for first 15->20 Min as this runs CPU cores at close to 100%.
- - - +12 V should not be lower than +11.6 V (I...

- - - +12 V should not be lower than +11.6 V (I know spec is 11.4V). ALSO important is that the delta between Idle and loaded should NOT be mor than 0.3V (ie if @ idle +12V = say 12.2 V and when you run Prime 95 it drops to 11.7 V - DITCH PSU as thedrop of 0.5V indicates regulation is lousy and probably has exccessive noise.
--- Core temps should not go above say 85 C (throttlng occurs around 95-100 C). (my lowly i5-2500 OCed to 4.2 GHZ only reaches 60 C when runing prime 95).

All OK, repeat but instead of runing prime 95, run Furmark.
W/Furmark also check +12 V rail but add Monitor GPU temperature.

Above is a starter.
