Why does my computer turn on by itself?

I built my computer a little over a year ago, and ever since then it'll randomly turn on by itself for no apparent reason. I'm not putting it in sleep mode, I'm doing a full-on shutoff. It'll usually only boot up if I haven't been on it for 24 hours. I'm sure it's nothing I downloaded, because it was doing it before I had even connected it to the internet for the first time. I've disabled settings left and right, hoping that I'm disabling whatever's turning it on. I have and ASRock H97 Pro4 motherboard, and I was told by Geek Squad that that was the problem and that it needed an update. After doing the update, I came home later to see that it had turned on by itself. I have checked the internet everywhere to find someone else that has my problem, but have come up short. Any ideas what might be turning it on?

did you check the bios for boot options, like boot on usb or boot on lan? this could be a reason why it boots.

Yeah, that was one of the options I turned off, but it didn't help; it still turns on by itself... :/
