Why does my Desktop not stay asleep?

Every time my computer automatically goes to sleep, or I manually put it to sleep, it randomly wakes up every 5 to 10 minutes. All my case LEDs, fans, keyboard and mouse all turn on for about 10 to 15 seconds (if not less) then it all goes back to sleep then repeats this process indefinitely. There is nothing on my computer being touched or moved at the time it wakes. My Desktop works flawlessly except this one thing. Does anyone know what could be causing this waking and sleeping loop?

In the Power Plan option in the Control Panel, my computer is set to the Samsung High Performance option because I am running 2 Samsung SSDs. It is the only thing I can find possibly causing the wakes but I am not sure..

If all your fans are plugged into 3 or 4 pin connections on your motherboard, you can download speedfan to control the thresholds at which the fans come on (and the fan speed if it's in a 4-pin).

If not, there are options in the Bios to adjust fan activation threshold.
So I tried moving my mouse elsewhere, didn't work. Searched my problem and a post recommended going into device manager, network devices, and setting it to not allow this device to not wake the computer.. which also did not work. Any other ideas?

Right after your PC wakes from this issue,

Click the start button
type "cmd" in the dialogue box
right click on cmd.exe
click "run as administrator"

in the command prompt window, type:

powercfg –lastwake

this will tell you what the last device to wake the PC was.

I have tried this but it's say something along the lines that the power button was pressed. You see, when my computer does these "wakes," my logon screen does not appear on screen. My monitors all stay black. It's just all my fans/LEDs turn on then shut off shortly after. It's weird..

Yes, my case fan LEDs and the CPU's heatsink LEDs all turn on, along with all the fans themselves. My fans and CPU heatsink are all fairly brand new. Less than 3 months old. And I just used a blower vac on all of it maybe 2 weeks ago to clean it all up. But this problem persisted even before I installed my new hardware.

It sounds like the fans might be coming on from the temps getting high enough for the thermal sensor to trigger them on for a few seconds at a time. Your system isn't actually waking.

Did you check all the heatsinks for dust fouling as well? This issue can also happen if it is warm in the room you keep the computer in or if there is not enough natural circulation in the space the PC is in.

Sorry for a late response, went on a trip for a couple weeks. I clean out my case frequently so I know it is fairly dust free. But I never thought about the heat being the issue. I do live in Hawaii where it is hot and humid ALL THE TIME. Hah. My room is usually in the high 70's to mid/high 80's, and when my desktop is on, it increase the temperature within my room. So am I pretty much stuck with my desktop trying to cool it's self off?
