When playing games such as Battlefield 4 and Assassin's Creed Black Flag I can run them at 60 FPS no problem for a short while. After about 10 mins or so, my frame rate drops down into the teens (usually 12-17 FPS). I don't understand why this is happening because when i check my temperature of my GPU it wont even go over 80C. I have my side case open as well. Then, the only way to fix it is to restart my entire computer (i tried just restarting the game).

NOTE: I have recently built this computer and this would NOT happen during the first month or so.

Solution
uninstall just video drivers and reboot then computer loads with lower resoliution the it loads drivers then check is it better or not.if not your can install drivers they came with your video card.
monitor the clocks while the slow downs occur, msi afterburner should work just fine for that purpose...

Temperatures are relatively high and seem to get capped by NVIDIA's Boost 2.0 algorithm, which reduces clocks when the card exceeds 80°C. However, this happens at the cost of performance, so most custom design cards try to stay below 80°C.
and it sure sounds like yours is throttling because of temps

frong ahahaha :)

okay so if it's throttling be cause of temps how exactly do i fix this? i mean my case has 3 fans, my cpu has 2, and my graphis card has 2 as well. i even leave the case open

I have tried it with MSI Afterburner (Overclocked, and not overclocked) but it makes no difference. no matter what i do, the game will always drop framrate and i cant fix this until i completely restart my computer.

Btw, I checked and when the frame drop happens, my temparature is at 65C... not even close to over heating

If you could please explain how to do that Id be grateful
