Ive recently started playing this game, Valorant. After a couple of minutes in my first game i noticed my FPS fluctuating from 100 to 0 and back every second. I dont really have any knowledge about computers and have no idea what the issue is here. According to multiple websites i have the specs required to play this game, but maybe i am missing something here?

Intel Core i7-5500U
NVIDIA GeForce 920M
12 GB RAM

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Have you kept track of your temps? It might be thermal throttling.
Use HWInfo64 and see if your temps are high.

Theres not much easy in-depth cleaning when it comes to a laptop but you can always dust it out and usually with laptops that is quite enough to stop high temps.

I was not keeping track of the temps, but that appears to be the problem (102°C) 😬. ill try cleaning it and a buddy of mine also has a cooling pad i can use if that helps. Thanks for the quick response.
