I have had this problem for a few months now. My PC will shut off in the middle of games (in the past R6, CSGO, and ARK), but NEVER while i'm just surfing the web or watching shows. I have checked to see if everything is securely plugged in and it is.
The only thing I can think of is that im asking for too many watts, BUT I do not know how to calculate this. I have a …

MOBO: ASUS gaming aura 970
CPU: AMD FX 3.4 ghz
GPU: GeForce GTX 1050 (2gb ddr5)
STORAGE: one Samsung 1tb HDD and one 120gb SSD
PSU: Thermaltake bronze 850watt

Is my system pulling too many watts or is there a different problem?
Thanks for the help!

Solution
Another possibility is overheating. This would happen in games because they put a higher load on the system and make everything hotter. Is the inside of the case dusty, and is the heatsink on securely?
