I recently built a pc and got a 1080p moniter with it. I was surprised when i plugged in my ps4 that the graphics looked way better. Furthermore, i was kind of disappointed as many games looked fuzzy on pc, even tho im running native resolution and everything on ultra. Pretty sure games arent supposed to run that way.
Here are my specs:
Gtx1070 g1 gaming
I7 7700k
Motherboard:gigabyte gaming b8
500w psu
16gb ddr4

Im pretty sure this is a setting problem, my drivers are also up to date

no it's not.
here is why PS4 has "better graphics"
PS4 is designed for purely for gaming, with fixed set of hardware, it's much easier for the developer to optimize the game around it. for PC, the devs has to make their game across different vendors (INTEL, AMD, NVIDIA and yes even Microsoft OS plays a part too) with different generations of hardware.

Check scaling. Often putting the games on ultra does not change this slider or value so you are essentially running below your monitors resolution.

What game is it that seems better on ps4 than pc?

Well actually, all games look kinda blurry and shitty on pc, but specifically fortnite looked better on ps4. Could it be because of a defective gpu or shitty mb or low psu?

Neither the MB or PSU is going to impact image quality.

The PSU, specifically could cause other issues - but image quality outright is not one of them.

Have you installed all your drivers manually (chipset through GPU), or did you let Windows handle all that?

I used geforce experience

Question from hamzamkhan03 : "lousy graphics pc"

Its connected to the gpu. Its a custom build and resolution is 1080p(native). Coulld using dvi fix it

You can try to see if that helps. What connector are you using atm?

I got a dvi cable but the moniter supports only vga appearently. I have the hp 24es. Can u pls confirm if IT is a cheap moniter so i csn replace it and stop worrying if i have a defective gpu?

Actually all games look kinda faded, fuzzy and grainy and i rly didnt expect this from a 1070

press the quickview button on the monitor to switch between view options of the monitor

if this doesn´t help, remove the 1070, plug in HDMI into the motherboard and boot with the onboard graphics. If it´s still blurry, your monitor or HDMI cable might be faulty, if not, could be the 1070 or driver problems or HDMI cable

is the screen directly in BIOS and the Desktop of windows blurry as well? Or really just in games? Videos are fine?

he wants to try VGA if HDMI is the problem but only has a DVI cable

Would also update the BIOS of the motherboard within BIOS using q-flash

eventually reset the CMOS by jumper

Was Windows installed with this system?

run 3dmark basic editiion (it´s for free) and click on compare results online after it. Post the address of your browser which comes up then

Its not “blurry” as in unreadable text or something. The right description would be faded, grainy and no sharpness at all. I can read things perfectly fine. Gaming, tho, is a very lousy experience

Videos are also running at low resolution apparently and have faded colours with no sharpness
