I recently built a pc and got a 1080p moniter with it. I was surprised when i plugged in my ps4 that the graphics looked way better. Furthermore, i was kind of disappointed as many games looked fuzzy on pc, even tho im running native resolution and everything on ultra. Pretty sure games arent supposed to run that way.
Here are my specs:
Gtx1070 g1 gaming
I7 7700k
Motherboard:gigabyte gaming b8
500w psu
16gb ddr4

Im pretty sure this is a setting problem, my drivers are also up to date

Can my motherboard cause this tho?

Same reason why i sold my gtx 1070 i7 combo. Games exact the same plus big tv screen in living room give more wow factor. More than the difference between highest and second highest graphical settings. Ofc u can connect pc to ur big screen in livingroom also done that and simply not worth it for me. Also viewing distance hurt the pc graphics. I had quality 75hz ips 24" 1080p samsung monitor. And consoles use wider color output if youre tv has deep color or/and hdr.

I dont say pc is bad its the only platform where u can fully customise youre gaming experience but one would exept more from gtx 1070 and I7 like back in the day computers were stronger compared to consoles and had most and the best exclusives. Now the pc games on high end rig look same than ps4pro or the xbox x and has almoust no aaa exclusives like xbox.

Ps4 sell much games like pc and xbox combined so there might be forced parity by sony or we dont have the tech to produce better graphics. Ps4 pro and xbox x give really good crisp picture and effects. There is not much improvisation left like ps3 days sub hd resolution 20fps lowest settings vs pc. Now i read revier of newest wolfenstein and pc is techically the worst and recomended platform was ps4pro(x wasnt released yet)

Its clearly the connecting cable / monitor. Theres no way anything on a 1070, right now at least, could look aweful.

Please make sure this occurs outside of games
Honestly just go grab a monitor that supports sci at minimum. A 20 inch is about 80 to 90 bucks

Make sure you don't have upscaling on or virtual desktop resolution enabled. In your GeForce control panel.

Do you mean Geforce experience or nvidia control panel? Can you also tell me how to do it?
