Why does my screen minimize by itself

Hello,
When Im playing Diablo 3 my screen keeps minimizing by itself. Or whatever its called when the thing you where doing goes to the bottom of the screen and you have to click on it to get back to the game. Whats wrong with it ?

might be an application running in background that need an attention, before gaming close any unnecessary applications

I have started having exactly the same issue with WOW and Diablo 3, started about a week ago, i have checked and have nothing running in the background. i even tried running it without the security software running and it still happens. I have checked all my drivers and they are all apparently up to date, i am not sure where to look next. Any help would be gratefully received.
