Why does my SSD show as 1GB?

Solution

The ssd should have a 3 year warranty; ask adata for a rma.

We'd need some further details.

Size/make/model.
What was the last thing you did before this happened?
Screencap of what is showing you this.

Size/make/model. Adata 120GB Premiere SP550
What was the last thing you did before this happened? Turned off the PC.

First, as above, try the manufacturers diag tool.
See what that says.

That would be helpful if I could format the disk. As it sits Adata's utility can't see it.

But as the screencap above and below F: shows, Windows does.

diskpart, in a powershell admin window
Just to see how it shows up

I type diskpart in the powershell, it opens a command prompt window and it just shows a list of commands if I type that. Still lost.

I'm sorry you're pulling teeth here. As admin I type diskpart and it then says Windows PowerShell

Pretty close to tossing this SSD. Is it dead or can I get help? Anyone?

Solution
Turns out that Adata doesn't do bleep. They just send you an email later(it's been almost an hour with a couple callbacks and still no email). You follow their steps and then submit an RMA. It's nice to deal with companies like EVGA because they know PC's. You talk with a human and they are there to help. Adata will just ask for your email and it's up to you from there. Bleep Adata for their impersonal style. It can still get the job done(assumption) but now I know why some of their SSD's are so inexpensive.
