Okay so here's my situation I feel like My Pc isn't Performing as it should like I messed With the bios in an attempt to OC and it worked But it didn't feel like it so I Loaded Optimized Defaults In Bios. It runs fine as far as everyday task but when I'm gaming I'm not getting smooth gameplay. Now I know the R9 270x is a Mid-range card but my frames will dip down to 30-45 on games like FC4, Watchdogs, FC3, Battlefield4, TombRaider, and I can't even play Metro Last light on any settings. I run my games on the recommended settings and still don't get smooth gameplay only on low to medium do i. All my drivers are up to date. So Could just be that my GPU is Crap cause I just bought a second GPU(same card) too crossfire but Now i'm not sure If that will work.

P.S. I spent damn near $1200 on this system and It doesn't feel like a $1200 Gaming PC.

Solution
at 1080p dipping down to 30-45 on the very graphic intensive games that you mention is normal. especially if you have the settings all on ultra.

at the end of the day you have a nice system, but your GPU is holding it back.

Solution
Metro - http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=1127&game=Metro:%20Last%20Light - you should be able to play at medium settings. What settings are you using?

Watch Dogs - http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=4546&game=Watch%20Dogs - you should be able to play at low to medium settings

BF4 - http://www.game-debate.com/games/index.php?g_id=3060&game=Battlefield%204 - High

You can put your PC details into those screens to check.

Download HWInfo and run Sensors. Post the results - usually 3 screenshots in TinyPic or similar. To see voltages, clocks, temps, etc.

Also run a Checkdisk with Repair and a Virus Scan on your OS drive.

Aha I was certain it was the GPU so did I waste money on buying the second GPU for Crossfire? Also I run FC4 and Watchdogs at High on a 720p TV And still Dip down there and it's annoying.

I can't speak for most of those games, but it shouldn't be dropping that low on fc3. Most of my settings are on high for fc3 with a 7850 which I think is a weaker card than the r9 270x and I'm playing at 1600x1200. I think my lowest frames hit around 50-55 during high action.

I was expecting at least High with no AA AT 50-60 FPS also My CPU Temps in gaming are at 15-25 Celsiuses ( Thermal Margin) and 45-60 Socket

I guess that makes sense my friend has a Nivida/Intel based build for around the same price as mine and His Pc runs the Game on Very High just fine.

Install MSI's afterburner and let it record your hardware telemetry when you're gaming and look for things maxing out. That will be your bottleneck. There are better tests for bottlenecks but this usually works. See if you're maxing out your gpu's memory. If it hits 2 gigs, your gonna want to turn down AA and kill v-sync.

I was thinking the same thing also the reason I'm doing cross fire Is because of money situations. Altough I could of got a r9 290x I wanted a better tv cause Sadley I'm Gaming on a 61" 720p Samsung DLP TV and plan On buying a 61" 1080p 600hz smart Tv Samsung. so for a $130 Card (USED) I figured I could get similar Perferomace to that of a 280x or 290X.

I forgot to mention, if you mem size is the problem, Crossfire will do nothing to alleviate this as the memory is cloned to each card in the array.

No way is he running out of Vram playing at 720p. This definitely is not a memory issue.

I hope that's true for 1080p cause I ran MSI Afterburner and looked at my memory usage and the max was 1822

Set windows power plan to performance mode.

Uninstall or disable all your viruses. (err, I mean, anti-virus, or do I?)

In Win7 you may need to apply some PileDriver/Bulldozer specific patches to "fix" the task scheduler. If you haven't kept things updated this may be missing... (I'm under the impression that if you've been keeping up with your updates, you would have already got this update, unless your update settings are configured not to update hardware related drivers/etc).

Unparking cores may also help.
