I have a Realtek RTL8811AU Wireless LAN 802.11ac USB 2.0 Network Adapter in the usb slot in my pc and it seems that everytime I try to play games, the wifi drops but it says the device is still working. I have just had enough because I simply cant play a game I like. It seems that the only way to deal with it is to unplug it then plug it in to a different port. This is the only solution I have but it only last for 15-20 min before it cuts out again. Is it the adapter, computer or wifi in general, (I have 100mbs of internet)

Solution
Does the adapter get overly warm or even hot (check carefully) between the start of game playing and the wifi drop?

Try using a USB extension cable to connect the wireless adapter to your pc.

Then raise the wifi adapter up and away from the pc.

Reposition as necessary to determine if wifi service stabilizes.

May also help keep the wireless adapter a bit cooler.
