so my acer nitro 5 says it is oculus ready but nvidia experience says that it does not meet the requirements. what am I not understanding? is there anything I am not understanding?

You see what I mean is that the laptop has one of those small stickers that says Oculus ready. It has a 1050ti

The existence of a sticker does not automagically mean the hardware is sufficient.

"No reason" ? Marketing.
It worked on you, didn't it? You bought it.

Just like "Vista Ready" systems when Vista was first released. "Ready", as in it booted up. Sort of.

Or, Nvidia is lying to you, and your stuff is actually sufficient.
One or the other is not quite truthful.

Have you seen evidence of other people with the exact same system being able to use that VR?

I did play vrchat so..
