I just got the rtx 3070 because I used to have the 1060 and I wanted to put it in my prebuilt pc but when I tried to plug in the 6 pin and the 6+2 pin, the 6 pin from the 8 pin does not fit, it goes in halfway but then gets stuck and won’t go further. I tried using a bit of force but whatever I do it doesn’t fit and the shapes line up. I tried running it when it was halfway but it didn’t give me a screen.

Solution
From what I know, you will need a good 650W PSU to power the rtx 3070. Keep in mind, the gtx1060 will need 450W or 500W PSU.

So check your PSU to see how much wattage it has. If the PSU can not handle the 3070, forget the PSU + the 6-pin cable, you need the new PSU.
