Why does windows 10 keep going to sleep

I just built a PC and found out early on that Windows 10 has this really annoying setting which places the PC in sleep if you lock the screen or leave for too long.

I looked at the sleep and hibernation settings and they are turned to NEVER.

Yet it keeps doing it. I looked at advanced power settings and can't figure out what is going on. The hard drive stays on. My downloads continue. But I HATE the screen turning off and having to log back in.

Anyone else experience this and know how to stop it?

Hi,

Please do try some of these steps that may help.
- Right click on your desktop screen and select Personalize.
- Look for Screen Saver, once open remove the check on "On resume, display logon screen".
- Click Apply and OK.
- See if the same problem will persist after doing these steps.

Hey!

Your problem is simply the screen is turning off to save power. My OS is in another language, but i think you'll find the setting in something like Settings -> Power management and Sleep/Hibernation settings.

For some reason Win 10 sets this to 'less than a minute' sometimes after updating. It's an easy fix though.

Hope this helps. =)
