Why gtx 750 ti shuts down my pc?

Hi i have an asus gtx 750 ti gpu and an msi z97 motherboard. Gpu doesnt has any 6 pin slot but when ii boot the pc it shuts down immediately. I know it's because of the gpu. When I discard the gpu pc boots perfectly. What's the problem? Does gpu needs a 6 pin slot?

can you post a pic of your GPU? i know most 750 Ti does not require one.

Have you checked if you put it on the correct pcie slot and also are you plugging you DVI/HDMI connector to the GPU and NOT the motherboard?

What is the rest of your spec? Probably it was power supply issue.

Spec sheet shows it needs a 6 pin connector.
