Why I hate UT Sometimes

Sometimes I get really frustrated. Last night I was playing CTF. The teams were 8 on 8. My team consistantly got beat because I was the only one going after the other team's flag. All of my team mates were standing around the base camping and sniping. However, they weren't sniping very well, they always let people in our base. What's the point of being a sniper if you can't hit anything? I would prefer you stood in front of the door way with a rocket launcher, at least that would be a little more useful.

So after getting really pissed on that server I decided to try my hand at a different board/server. Well in this one, it was also 8 on 8, however all the human players, including myself, were on the same team. The other team was made up of bots but these bots were aim bots. They would hit me on the first shot every time. It seemed like they all had sniper rifles and they never missed. It was good practice for trying to avoid enemy fire but these bots were just amazing. So my frustration compiled even more. Then the board changed and a 9th person entered the game which forced a human player to the team with the aim bots. This person was of average skill but the aim bots gave him such incredible backup that he totally crushed my team. He never had to worry about someone stealing his flag and he never had to worry about someone sniping him when he was running out in the open with the flag, the aim bots just took care of everything.

I think I am going to sit out of UT for a few days, my blood pressure can't handle it.

Why don't you switch to TFC. I am taking a break from UT, pretty much the same situation. People just don't play the same anymore. Not like when it first came out.

TFC is so damn easy. ITs almost a joke to play it, but it is fun to whoop up on pepes.

I don't have the time to procrastinate.

I think the game is incredibly fun. Where else can you see suicide engineers running at you, trying to blow people up by holding on to their EMP grenades?! LOL! Some of the positions do take time to master, and for every 1 awesome TFC player I've seen, I've seen 200 that couldn't hit a buffalo with that bazooka on their shoulders .

I hate UT sometimes because of the damn spawn killers. They suck.

I find UT way too slow. I can't play multi player because all the servers run at 100-110% game speed. I like at least 140%. You really gotta use your reflexes then :^)
When playing at 140%, you need a really good framerate though.

yeah
too many little kiddies with aimbots on and too much free time
on their hands
i only play occasionaly and can just handle skilled level if im alert
i life face off but the sniping just gets silly
once it was a team of snipers and it was spawn/headshot/spawn/headshot

i even once made a server for newbies only
but guess what? it got invaded by "newbie" experts
the bestest games were playing on a lan with res friends...
all about the same skill

havnt played it online for months now
couldnt keep up with the updates... my hacked version just doesnt work anymore either
thinks there should be definitive grades for players
keep the pros from the averages

Last night i played a board with enhanced shock rifles only, you know, the red ones. It was crazy. That is just a blood bath. You really can't get much than the peak of the hill in facing worlds. And the worst part was, I was like the third player to enter and the other 7 players were computer aim bots. Do you know how hard it is to play against a computer that never misses and has a weapon that kills you with one shot? DAMN!!! Well, needless to say, I got my ass beat until more real people joined and got rid of the bots. I really do like those enhanced shock rifles, as long as I am the only one that has one.

did u know there is a kina patch out there called aimbot?
basically it auto tracks an enemy for a human player.
doesnt work well for rocketlaunchers/flack/pulserifle,
but is really good for the one shot guns... eg shock & sniper
so if someone keeps shooting u in the head from long distance AS your jumping aorund... tell him aimbot is taboo in public tournaments.
u will be suprised the number of peeps that use it
i was in a last man standin once, and getting royally and suspiciosly hosed...
i asked if anyone was getting aimbots and i got a suspiciously emphatic response of NO. anyhow, the person with server rights piped up by saying he was about to detect for active aimbots and boot em
needless to say my skill relative to theirs suddenly shot up remarkibly
i reckon out of the 12 players at least 9 were using that.
some became downright hopless.
kiddies who just claimed how wonderful they were.
