Question Why i'm getting low FPS with a 2070

I'm getting low FPS in some games like

Csgo: 80-140 FPS (lowest settings)

Destiny 2: 59-90 FPS (ultra settings)

GTA V: 50-70 fps (Ultra settings)

CoD BO4: 80-120 FPS (ultra settings)

Battlefield V 40-60 FPS (Ultra settings, raytracing ultra, DLSS pm)

I know that fps are not bad but sometimes the games freezes (i play at 1080p)



Specs:

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600

RAM: 2x 8 GB sticks 3000mhz

HDD: 1 TB 7200 RPM Toshiba

GPU: RTX 2070 8 GB

The CSGO FPS figures are very low if you are playing 1080p lowest.... the other numbers don't look too bad given you are on Ultra settings (especially the Battlefiend V results as you are using full ray tracing)....

The game freezes you mention are probably down to the fact you are running games of an old Hdd- which can result is noticeable stuttering when loading in new areas of a game.

What PSU and motherboard do you have?

Are you sure your RAM is actually running at 3000mhz?

The CSGO FPS figures are very low if you are playing 1080p lowest.... the other numbers don't look too bad given you are on Ultra settings (especially the Battlefiend V results as you are using full ray tracing)....

Yes i turned on the X.M.P in the BIOS

Are all gpu and motherboard drivers up to date?

GPU Temperatures when gaming: 67-74°C

Yes all the drivers are up to date.

No, i had this ryzen 5 2600 with a gtx 1060 3 gb, i just got the rtx 2070 2 weeks ago

When did you last do a fresh install of Windows?

Hmmm... like 6-8 months

Yeah that's quite slow- I have a WD Sata SSD (nothing fancy) and it's the 4KiB results that are really telling- 4KiB Q32T1 for my drive is 315 MB/s read, 284 MB/s Write. That makes a massive difference when streaming in data in a game- won't improve your average fps but does wonders for preventing stalls.

I also have a 1tb HDD for extra storage and that scores similar to your drive so those numbers looks valid.

The multi player results tend to be quite a bit lower (depending on whats going) so that might explain it. The only other thing I can think of is the CPU isn't hitting the frequency it should- maybe a windows power setting?

Yes, the thing that annoys me the most is that the game freezes sometimes

Back up your data and files then format your hdd and do a clean install of win 10 and install the latest nvidia driver (using geforce experience) and if that doesn't work try the gpu in other pc if it still the same then return the gpu to the seller.
