I built a PC recently and I was super excited to test it out in some games, but it turns out the performance is complete garbage, and i'm not sure why.
Specs:
MOBO: ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING
CPU: RYZEN 5 5600X
GPU: EVGA 3080 FTW3 ULTRA
RAM: G.SKILL 2X8 GB 3600MHZ CL16
PSU: CORSAIR RM750
I did a lot of things that anyone would think doing first, like updating the drivers to the newest version, reinstalling Windows, plugging three individual cables from the card to the PSU, ensuring the memory is dual-channel, enabling XMP, flashing the BIOS to the latest non-beta version. Nothing works.
HZD with Ultra graphics runs at 15 FPS (or less). Here is the benchmark results with GPU-Z monitoring View: https://imgur.com/a/L5Logq5
HWINFO summary View: https://imgur.com/a/vuW6IIW
I did a lot of monitoring and the card is not thermal throttling and there is not any bottleneck with the CPU, I figured that it may be due to the wattages, but I really don't know anymore.
I thought maybe there is some option in the BIOS that is messing with the GPU, please somebody let me know.
