My desktop computer and keyboard are 10 months old. I have Windows 7 installed and 1 TB memory. Lately the keyboard doesn't keep up with my typing speed of 63 WPM. It usually drops the first letter of words and misses many letters as I type. I tried going to the control panel, but it doesn't adjust the speed. What is wrong with my keyboard, and what can I do about it? L

When a computer gets hot, it automatically slows the processor down to keep from overheating. Laptops have this problem when left on for a long time--they get very slow. This can happen to any computer, including desktops though, so keep your computer well ventilated and use power saving options when you can't turn it off.
