why is my computer on power save mode

I turn my computer on and it automatically enters power saving mode. It wont load anything at all. I have a dell windows 7 computer. I turn it on and both the monitor and motherboard's power buttons are yellow.. I have no idea how this happened or how to fix it. can someone please help me? thanks.

if you click on the battery icon in the bottom right of your desktop you can select a power plan there or you can adjust power options. You should be able to fix your problem there.
