[SOLVED] Why is my CPU idle temp so high?

My Ryzen 7 1700x is running at 61 idle temp. Sometimes it jumps to 70 for no reason with zero tasks running.

Have you checked you cpu cooler is working. Also check your case fans and if they aren't any problems with them try new thermal paste

My Corsair H70 is definitely working. I just installed the motherboard and CPU last month. I did put enough thermal paste on it as well. 🤷🏼‍♂️

What is your chassis? What is your case fan setup?

I've got a deep cool tesseract, I have 4 fans, all with great air flow position. The fans aren't the problem. Hopefully it's not a defect

If you have any spare thermal paste lying around, take out your AIO and check to ensure there is no pipe blockage, and that the pump is mounted properly.

Is the pump set to 100% DC in BIOS?
