[SOLVED] Why is my CPU Percentage higher then my GPU Usage

Does anyone know the cause of this, this is my first PC and don't really know much, just wondering how to fix it or what I need to purchase to improve it... thanks in advance!

Currently running alongside an Intel i5-6500 3.20 GHz , 8 GB RAM, RM750x psu, and the motherboard I currently have is a H170 Gaming 3.

GPU Utilization is at 39% while my CPU is on 98% while playing GTA V.

There is no direct correlation between CPU and GPU usage.

The particular game, your settings, etc, etc, etc.


Are you satisfied in how the game looks and plays?
If so, don't stress.

You have a 4C/4T CPU, so it can only handle 4 software threads at once. GTAV typically has more than that available to run at a given time.

There's nothing you can do outside of upgrading the CPU.

Well, the thing is I'm just not able to play GTA V the game freezes, lags, texture loss, falling through the map, according to people I should be able to run the game just fine, but I'm not even able to play it without lag on normal settings, just not sure what to do.

That could be for a variety of reasons, but none of them are due to the CPU having a high percentage. It just means you'll be performance limited.

Case in point: this person is playing on an i3-2100
